Agreements about the granting of credit lines

- In April during the visit of the Head of State N. Nazarbayev to PRC master agreement about cooperation in the field of power engineering to the amount of 5 billion USD between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Export-Import Bank of China was signed.

- In April agreement about the granting of soft credit line to the amount of 100 million USD between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Export-Import Bank of China was signed.

- In August general agreement about the granting of loan funds to the amount of 5 million USD between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Export-Import Bank of China in the terms of cooperation in the field of energetics was signed.

- In October Individual credit agreement to the amount of 1.5 billion USD between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and Export-Import Bank of China in the terms of cooperation in the field of energetics was signed.

- In September General agreement to the amount of 200 million euro for the financing of Bank projects, including equipment and/or services export from European countries between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and BNP Paribas.

- In October Individual credit agreement to the amount of 10.2 million euro for the financing of the supply of European additional equipment for the realization of the project of gas turbine electric station construction at accumulation Akshabulak between JSC Development Bank of Kazakhstan and BNP Paribas.

Events, organized by DBK

- In September in the Bank joint with State Development Bank of China and JSC FNW “Samruk-Kazyna” practical Seminar devoted to the questions of financial crisis overcoming and interaction between both countries took place.

- In January the Bank was awarded the title of “A Leading Bank in Corporate Governance in Emerging Europe” by the authoritative international financial edition “Euromoney”.
- In August the Development Bank of Kazakhstan was chosen as the Chairman of Inter-bank Unit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) by the decision of the participants of the Third Session of the Inter-bank Unit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
- In June the Bank signed the Agreement on cooperation in co-financing projects with a group of Kazakhstan’s second-tier banks.
- In September Zhanat Zhakanov by the decree of the sole shareholder of the Bank Sustainable Development Fund “Kazyna” was appointed the President of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC.
- The following investment projects financed with the participation of the Bank were implemented:
- The project of Nimex Textile LLL for the reconstruction and modernization of the textile production in Ust-Kamenogorsk;
- The project of Uteks JSC for the organization of manufacturing of cotton and linen products (Shymkent, South-Kazakhstan region);
- The project of Vita JSC for the expansion of the VITASOY oilseeds recycling plant with the purpose of increasing volumes and assortment of the turn out food production (Almaty);
- The project of Sinergiya JSC for manufacturing of construction materials in Akmolinsk region.

- The Development Bank of Kazakhstan joins the Group of the Sustainable Development Fund “Kazyna”;
- Eurobonds of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan with the maturity date in 2026 and the annual coupon rate of 6.00% were issued and successfully placed. To the date that was both the cheapest and the longest issue among other Eurobond issues of Kazakhstani emitters. The issue was assigned the credit rating higher than the sovereign rating of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- In May Askar Sembin was appointed the President of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan by the decision of the shareholders’ general meeting.
- The following investment projects financed with the participation of the Bank were implemented:
- The project of the Caspian Beverage Holding JSC for the expansion and modernization of the production of drinks and mineral water in Almaty;
- The project of Kazenergokabel JSC for the expansion of cabling-wiring production with XLPE isolation in Pavlodar;
- The project of Agromasholding JSC for the modernization of the production facilities and setting up a chain of service centers for agricultural machinery. The opening ceremony of the plant was held with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- The project of Astana-Polygraphiya JSC for launching a new technological line of book production in Astana;
- The project of Company Biohim JSC for the construction of the “Biohim” production complex for manufacturing bioethanol, fibrin and other kinds of products (Tayinshy, North-Kazakhstan region). The opening ceremony of the plant was held with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- The project of NMSK Kazmortransflot JSC for the construction and purchase of fleet for support of marine operations in Tupkaragansky Bay (Mangistau region);

- The Development Bank of Kazakhstan was the first organization in the CIS to receive credit rating on the level of sovereign rating of a country from all three leading rating agencies: Standard&Poor’s - ВВВ/stable/A-3, Fitch Ratings - BBB/positive/BBB+, and Moody’s - А2/stable.
- In May the Bank was awarded the title of “The Most Dynamic Development Bank in The World” from the analytical financial edition “Euromoney”.
- In September BRK-Leasing JSC, subsidiary organization of the Bank was established with a purpose of expanding the range of financial instruments of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.
- The Bank’s Eurobonds with the maturity term in 2020 were issued.
- In December the Central Bank of the Russian Federation gave the authorization to establish a representative office of the Bank in Moscow.
- The following investment projects financed with the participation of the Bank were implemented:
- The project of Melange JSC for the reconstruction of weaving and dyeboarding facilities for manufacturing of cotton fabrics in Shymkent;
- The project of Agrofirma Kenashy LLP for the construction of new grain-milling facilities and the farmland expansion in Akmolinskaya region;
- The project of PC Juzhpolimetall JSC for the renovation and production of manual switch and lock movements;
- The project of Transtelecom JSC for the construction of fiber-optic communication line between Astana and Almaty;
- The project of Utex JSC for the cotton fiber production. The opening ceremony of the plant was held with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- The project of Vita JSC for the construction of oilseeds recycling plant VITASOY: 2 stage - plant expansion by creation of extraction shops and intraesterification;
- The project of Amitech Astana LLP for the production of glass fibre-reinforced-plastic tubes in Astana;
- The project of Khobas Pipes Kazakhstan LLP for the construction of a plant for production of pipes and fittings out of fixed fiber glass polyether in Astana. The opening ceremony of the plant was held with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- The project of KazRuno JSC for wool-processing;
- The project of Iliyskiy kartonno-bumazhniy kombinat JSC for the expansion of industrial base for manufacturing of paper and paperboard.

- The following investment projects financed with the participation of the Bank were implemented:
- The project of Atyrauneftemash JSC for manufacturing products for oil and gas extraction complexes (Atyrau);
- The project of Altyn-Nan LLP for the construction of the plant for processing of corn and production of corn starch syrup with the production capacity of 100 tons of corn processed per day in Almaty region;
- The project of Ecoton+ JSC for the construction of the plant for production of items made of foamed concrete in Astana;
- The project of Litmashcomplekt JSC for the organization of manufacturing round hire and mill products;
- The project of Kazakhstan Kagazy JSC for the creation of facilities for paper and cardboard production in the Almaty region.

- In September at the 26th Annual Meeting of ADFIAP the President of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan was elected member of the Board of Directors of ADFIAP for the four-year term.
- 10-year Eurobonds of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan to the amount of 100 million USD were issued.
- The following investment projects financed with the participation of the Bank were implemented:
- The project of Vita JSC for the construction of a VITASOY plant for advanced processing of the oil plant seeds.
- The project of Zernovaya Lizingovaya Kompaniya LLP for the organization of leasing of agricultural equipment to grain producers of the northern regions of Kazakhstan;
- The project of Tengizskaya Transportnaya Kompaniya LLP for the purchase of 300 railway tanks for liquefied gas transportation in Atyrau region;
- The project of TenizService LLP for the construction of quay, road and site within development base for support of marine operations in Tupkaragansky Gulf in Mangistau region.

- The first-time issue of five-year Eurobonds of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan to the amount of 100 million USD took place.
- In June Kambar Shalginbayev was appointed the President of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC by the decision of the shareholders’ general meeting.

- In May Sauat Mynbayev was appointed the President of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC by the decision of the shareholders’ general meeting.
- The Development Bank of Kazakhstan with a special legal status was established pursuant to the Decree No.659 of May 18, 2001 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Incorporation of the Closed Joint Stock Company “Development Bank of Kazakhstan”.
- The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed the Law “On The Development Bank of Kazakhstan” dated from April, 25, 2001 No, 178-II.

- In December the Edict No.531 of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Development Bank of Kazakhstan” was issued.
