As explained by the DBK Managing Director Adil Ismagambetov, there is a strong potential for joint operation. The Kazakhstani market is attractive for Polish investors, as evidenced by a large number of the workshop participants – more than 60 businessmen, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology of Poland, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, KUKE, an Export Credit Insurance Corporation (the analogue of KazakhExport Export Insurance Company JSC) came to the meeting with representatives of the DBK. The participants of the meeting got acquainted with the activities of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan and financing facilities, as well as held separate B2B meetings.

We believe that the meeting was held as smoothly as possible. We informed the interested Polish business communities about the conditions for using the financial package of 300 million euros, which we signed with Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego in 2016, as well as about the wide number of other investment opportunities. Moreover, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Poland, we were able to elaborate on the ways to strengthen further mutual cooperation with Polish colleagues",

said Mr. Ismagambetov.
Let us recall, that for more than a decade, Kazakhstan and Poland have been linked by political, historical, cultural, humanitarian, and commercial and economic relations. For example, last year the commodity turnover between the two countries amounted to about USD 1.2 billion. Kazakhstan accounts for about 80 percent of Polish trade with Central Asian countries. Furthermore, there are more than 200 enterprises with the participation of Polish capital in our Republic, direct investments of which exceeded USD 230 million.

Nevertheless, despite such close cooperation, there is still an untapped potential at the moment. In particular, such spheres as agro-industrial complex, engineering industry, military-industrial complex, are the key propriety areas of economic cooperation.
