14 people completed an internship at the largest enterprises of Kazakhstan as part of the joint project of DBK and Taiburyl Public Association called Kerek Adam.

These were the graduates and senior students of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh-British Technical University, West Kazakhstan Agrarian Technical University named after Zhangir Khan, Pavlodar University named after S. Toraigyrov, Pavlodar Oil and Gas College, Ural College of Gas, Oil and Industry Technologies.

Another 10 interns went to get production experience at Aktobe rail and beam plant. These were the graduates of Karaganda State Industrial University with degrees in technical specialties: Materials science and technology of new materials, Technology of materials processing by pressure and Technological machines and equipment.

The purpose of Kerek Adam social and educational project is to popularize and develop engineering and technical competencies in Kazakhstan. The project is jointly implemented by DBK and Taiburyl Public Association. Within the framework of corporate social responsibility, the Bank has allocated a 9 million KZT grant for the monthly payment of scholarships to interns in the amount of 50 thousand KZT during the internship period.

In total, within the framework of the project, it’s planned to organize an internship for 30 young professionals at the largest enterprises of the country, including those financed by the Bank.

The selection of intern-participants is carried out on a competitive basis in two stages. At the first stage, applicants submit applications on the Association's website http://taiburyl.kz with the application of supporting documents for full compliance with the following criteria:

- citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate or graduate courses in industry-specific schools or a graduate diploma, with a minimum academic performance of GPA 3.7;

- degree in such technical specialties as mechanical engineering, metallurgy, heat and power, electric power, automation and control, chemistry, physics, computer systems, oil and gas, standardization, certification, logistics, geology, radio engineering, etc.

- an essay on "The Importance of my profession for modern Kazakhstan".

Receiving awards during the study and taking winning places at republican and international scientific competitions, participation in conferences and forums, implementation of own projects demonstrating social responsibility and ability to apply professional skills and knowledge in practice will be an additional advantage for the internship applicants.
