Despite the events taking place in the country and in the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, the plant's products remain in demand not only in the domestic market, but also abroad. Produced transformers reduce high voltage, which needs to be reduced to 35 kV, then to 6 or 10 kV, and further down to 220 V. In total, during this period the plant produced 60 pieces of transformers for the domestic market of Kazakhstan. The plant's products have already been installed in the Turkestan region, as well as in the cities of Shymkent, Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Karaganda, Atyrau and Nur-Sultan.

The Alageum Electric group of companies, the parent company Asia Trafo LLP, consistently supplies 40% of products or 15,000 pieces of transformer equipment up to 110 kV inclusive to the CIS market, including Tajikistan, from year to year. Asia Trafo LLP is the largest transformer plant in Central Asia, capable of producing 120 high-power transformers per year. The construction of a unique plant for the republic began in 2017, in 2019 the plant was already put into operation, providing the local population with jobs for 220 people.

The transformer plant was built with the financial support of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (a subsidiary of the Baiterek holding, hereinafter referred to as DBK). DBK opened a credit line to Asia Trafo LLP for the construction of the plant, and DBK's subsidiary DBK-Leasing JSC financed the purchase of modern technological equipment. The total cost of the project was 19.1 billion tenge, DBK's participation - 8.6 billion tenge, JSC “DBK-Leasing” - 4.7 billion tenge. The project is being implemented within the framework of the State Program of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2019.

The main products of the plant are power oil transformers and autotransformers with voltage class 110, 220, 500, 750 kV with power up to 500 MVA, as well as reactors. The products of the enterprise are manufactured according to their own unique patented technologies.

Currently, the issue of supplies to increase the share of exports to other CIS countries is being worked out. The shipment of the transformer to Tajikistan is planned for October this year.
