Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC attended the forum Kazakhstan Finance Day. Event was held in the headquarters of the corporation Citigroup in New York's business center, where more than 450 representatives of the financial and economic bloc of Kazakhstan and the U.S. gathered. Kazakhstan delegation included the first heads of key financial institutions.
The objective of the event is strengthening economic ties and attracting new capital investments to Kazakhstan as an economically attractive investment destination.
Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Board of the DBK, spoke at the panel session of the forum Capital Markets with Perspectives of Financial Services Development with an overview of the Bank's activities, emphasizing the important role of the DBK in stimulating economic growth and diversifying the country's economy. He noted that the Bank is active in the debt capital markets, demonstrating significant achievements in attracting investments.
Recall, in October, DBK placed two issues of Eurobonds, the first denominated in U.S. dollars in the amount of USD 500 million, the second in the amount of KZT 65 billion. Demand exceeded supply more than one and a half times, which emphasizes the confidence of local and international investors in the Bank's bonds. Geography of bonds floatation was represented by USA, Great Britain and other countries of Europe, Kazakhstan and others.
“It is important for us to be not only a financial institution, but also a strategic partner that helps unlock Kazakhstan's potential. Our activities are aimed at supporting industrialization, infrastructure modernization and sustainable development, which is made possible through joint work with the state and private investors”, Marat Yelibayev said.
The participants highly appreciated the ongoing economic reforms, which create a new vector of development for the country and the region, and also noted the stable macroeconomic policy of Kazakhstan.
