The Development Bank of Kazakhstan hosted a discussion on digital development and the use of artificial intelligence technologies, which was attended by the Bank's management team.
The discussion covered current global trends in the field of artificial intelligence, along with examples of how this technology is being applied in international development banks and second-tier banks.
Particular attention was given to the opportunities for the phased integration of intelligent solutions into the Bank’s operational activities and the improvement of internal processes – such as the implementation of KDB Product Space, the automation of project data processing using AI, and the establishment of a foundation for future transformation. The discussion was part of the Bank’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and adopt modern approaches to analytics, data management, and decision-making.
“We are not just automating processes – we are changing the way we think, interact, and create value for our customers. This workshop is a step towards aligning DBK's strategy, corporate culture, and technologies” said Sergey Shmagin, Director of the DBK IT Department.
The Bank continues to study and implement best practices in digital transformation in order to increase its operational flexibility and establish a technological foundation for long-term development.
“DBK is actively implementing digital solutions to improve transparency, customer experience, and efficiency in internal processes. This year, we have planned large-scale initiatives to speed up the application processing, enhance the customer experience, and increase the accuracy of decisions. The introduction of AI tools will help automate the application process and ensure more objective credit decision”, highlighted Marat Yelibayev, Chairman of the Bank's Management Board.
