The project was launched in 2013 with the support of the "Development Bank of Kazakhstan" JSC (a subsidiary of "Baiterek" holding), which financed the project under the State program for accelerated industrial and innovative development of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014. Sberbank of Russia was also involved as a co-financing Bank.
The main products and "business card" of the plant are long rails of DT350 category. This type of rail is particularly effective on high-speed highways and on lines with high load capacity. Due to the increased length of the rails, the number of joints is decreased, meaning reduced financial costs while laying the railway track and increased wear resistance of rails and trains. For passenger trains, this is also noticeable for improving the movement smoothness.

In autumn 2019, the factory successfully passed the certification procedure for the production of railway rails 60E1 of the European standard, receiving a certificate according to the standard EN 13674-1: 2017. This type of rail is used in the European Union, the Middle East, and North Africa. they differ from the R65 rails used in Kazakhstan in most technical parameters – rail height, neck height and thickness, rail head width, and rail foot blade height.
Therefore, from 2020 it is planned to supply rails in the European Union, mainly in Eastern Europe and the Baltic States.
2. Blanks for production

First, the blanks are sent to the furnace.

9. Among the ARBF "know-how" there is the technology of quenching metal with an air mixture in the stream, which gives the product increased wear resistance.

13. The main consumer of ARBF products in Kazakhstan is "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy". Rails produced here were used, for example, in the construction of the Almaty-Shu railway, Kuryk sea port, and the new Nurly Zhol railway station.
Since 2016, more than 400 thousand tons of rail products (about 3 thousand km) produced in Aktobe have been used in Kazakhstan.
