Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC entered the top 10 companies, taking 9th place in PwC rating "Top 50 best Kazakhstan companies in ESG information disclosure", rising by 10 positions compared to last year.
As part of the rating, 98 Kazakhstan companies were evaluated based on 147 criteria in main sections: sustainable development strategy, corporate governance, society, ecology, and reporting practices.
This recognition is a result of the Bank's continuous work to improve quality of verified information disclosure in ESG area, which ensures a high level of transparency and accountability.
Recall that in August of this year, the Bank released its verified Annual Report for 2023, prepared in accordance with international requirements of GRI, SASB, IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 (previously – TCFD recommendations), as well as requirements of the national regulator – the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of Financial Market and Rules of the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange KASE.
