Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC participated in the KASE: Joining Tabadul Digital Hub international conference, which focused on key trends in the development of the stock markets in the Middle East and Central Asia. The conference discussions centered on the role of institutional investors, new investment instruments, and the prospects of Kazakhstani shares in the global market.
A key highlight of the conference was the award ceremony for KASE members and listing companies that contributed to the development of Kazakhstan’s stock market. DBK was honored with the “Leader of the ESG Bond Market – 2024” diploma, recognizing its vital role in developing the debt market and attracting investments for large infrastructure and industrial projects.
Additionally, DBK received another prestigious award in the “Best Annual Report in the Financial Sector 2023” category. The reports were evaluated by KASE employees in collaboration with Kazakhstani experts in annual report preparation and analysis.
It is worth noting that DBK’s 2023 annual report, verified by PwC, incorporates not only the GRI standard but also the recommendations of SASB, the Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), and the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market. For the first time, the document includes information in line with IFRS S1 and S2 requirements, showcasing a high level of transparency and alignment with international best practices.
In 2024, DBK’s report ranked 9th in PwC’s “Top 50 Best Kazakhstani Companies for ESG Disclosure,” advancing 10 positions from the previous year. The rating evaluated 98 Kazakhstani companies based on 147 criteria, covering key areas such as sustainability strategy, corporate governance, social impact, environmental aspects, and reporting practices.
DBK was also honored with the “For Striving for Transparency” award, recognizing its best practices in information disclosure and effective communication with investors on the KASE platform.
