Borrower-companies of Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (a subsidiary of «Baiterek» NMH JSC) are actively providing assistance to residents of regions suffered from spring floods. All assistance is provided by companies on their own initiative at the call of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Let us recall that at a meeting of the Republican Headquarters on April 1, 2024, the Head of State said: «I urge all representatives of domestic business at this crucial moment not to stand aside and lend a helping hand to people. It is necessary to provide maximum support to all residents and regions affected by the disaster. Today this is a common task for all of us».
The Bank's borrowers are committed to the principles of corporate social responsibility and actively invest in the development of regions. In a difficult situation for the country, the Bank’s clients show real unity in the fight against a common problem, providing assistance to their compatriots.
To date, the following companies have provided funds to help the victims:
Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan LLP and Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan LLP included in the company «Astana Motors» (500 million tenge), Eurasian Energy Corporation JSC included in «Eurasian Group» (400 million tenge), Group of Companies Allur JSC (200 million tenge), Mistral Energy LLP, «Zhel Electric» LLP of the Universal Energy group (Qazaqstan) (100 million tenge).
In addition to financial assistance, a number of Bank borrowers provide special equipment and people to deal with the consequences of floods, as well as help from company volunteers.
Other Bank borrowers also intend to provide significant support in the near future.
