New Era of Banking Services in Kazakhstan Begins with Development Bank of Kazakhstan

Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (a subsidiary of Baiterek Holding, hereinafter – DBK, the Bank) has presented its key achievements and upcoming tasks in the area of digital transformation.

As part of this transformation, the Bank has unveiled a series of innovative products designed to launch an integrated ecosystem of AI-driven solutions.

Among these is KDB Document Service, the MVP of a new document management system with embedded AI agents based on the OSS model by OpenAI, operating securely within the Bank’s internal circuit.

Another milestone is the MVP of KDB Product Space, a unified digital platform for all participants of the credit process. The platform ensures full visibility and real-time management of every project stage. Currently, data is being prepared to further train a localized LLM model for advanced functionality.

DBK has also introduced intelligent processing and verification of clients’ financial statements using OCR, IDP, and AI technologies. Monitoring reports on projects are now generated automatically, reducing errors and delays, and ensuring transparency and reliability in cooperation with clients.

Artificial intelligence in the Bank’s system is applied for recognition and analysis of borrowers’ documents. It functions exclusively as an assistant to industry experts in the decision-making process, significantly reducing the time required for analysis while maintaining expert oversight.

In addition, DBK plans to participate in the pilot project of the National Bank of Kazakhstan on the implementation of the digital tenge, which will enhance transparency in fund tracking and prevent misuse of resources.

The comprehensive integration of digital solutions and AI technologies allows the Development Bank of Kazakhstan to move to a fundamentally new level of customer service. This means maximum efficiency in data processing and decision-making, full transparency and traceability of all processes, and higher reliability and quality of the Bank’s financial services.
