"Promoting the expansion of export opportunities of Kazakh enterprises is one of the important directions in the credit activities of the DBK, as a national development institution. The Bank finances export operations of domestic producers at its own expense and within the framework of Nurly Zhol State Program. Within the framework of the State Program in December 2018, the DBK provided Kainar-AKB with a loan in the amount of 2 billion tenge for a period of three years for the purchase of raw materials for the production of starter lead-acid batteries for cars and trucks, locomotives and other equipment, with further exports of products. The loan funds will allow the Company to increase production and supply volumes to foreign markets", - said Yerbol Salimbayev, the banker of the Directorate for Customer Relations.
Today, more than 60% of the batteries produced at the Kainar-AKB plant are exported to Russia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Tajikistan, China and the UAE. The pre-export financing provided by the Bank will allow the company to increase the production of up to 3 million batteries per year by 2020, and, accordingly, the supply of products to foreign markets.
According to Bakytgul Kuderinova, the Chief Financial Officer of Kainar-AKB LLP, within eight months of 2019, about 1.5 million of accumulator batteries were produced at the plant and 839 thousand of them were exported. The batteries were exported to countries such as: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
As the Head of State Kassym-Zhomart Tokaev emphasized in the Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan dated September 2, 2019, "we have to drastically increase the effectiveness of state support for export companies".
